Apr. 24 – With the upcoming release of his new album, “A Jallyfish from the Bosphorus” for Abeat Records scheduled for the first week of May, Andrea Pozza, acclaimed jazz pianist and composer from Genoa, continues his series of concerts abroad, both as a leader and as a sideman. The first dates of the European tour, which started in the early months of 2013, saw him busy with Franco Ambrosetti’s piano quintet in Germany and later in Switzerland. Andrea Pozza then traveled to the United Kingdom, where he was engaged in a series of concerts in a quartet in his name with English saxophonist Christian Brewer. The next stops will touch Belgium – Liege on April 24, and later Algeria, on the occasion of the 11th edition of the Dimajazz Festival. On April 28, he will be performing alongside the Steve Grossman Quartet, with whom he worked steadily for more than 20 years.
