June 14 – The Italian cinema information website cinemaitaliano.info released a statement announcing that “I morti di Alos”, by Daniele Atzeni, was awarded the Grand Prix of the 19th Envirofilm festival edition, held recently in Banská Bystrica (Slovak Republic). The film was evaluated by an international jury as the best film for all competition categories, ex aequo with the Swiss-German documentary Raising Resistance. “This important recognition – says the website – comes after thirty national and international festivals screened the film, and it adds to other awards already received, the most recent being the prize for best short film at the Green Film Festival in Seoul (South Korea).” The next international event for “I morti di Alos” will be in Brazil, at the Festival Internacional de Cinema e Vídeo Ambiental Cidade de Goiás, where the film will run in the best short film alongside four other films.
