June 27 – Mauro Pagani directs once again the Popular Orchestra “La notte della Taranta”, after the successful 2007-2009 editions of “La Notte della Taranta” in Salento, helping make it the biggest festival of the country and one of the most iconic events of European folk tradition. Within the “Italy in U.S. 2013” program, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Ministries of National Heritage and Culture, Mauro Pagani and the Popular Orchestra “La Notte della Taranta” will be in concert on the East Coast: Sunday, July 14 at Boston Common, Monday July 15 and Tuesday July 16 at Le Poisson Rouge in New York. The event is produced by the Foundation “La Notte della Taranta” with Massimo Gallotta, in collaboration with Puglia Sounds and Invitalia. The Boston concert is part of Outside The Box, the first multi-artistic festival of the city. In New York, the dynamic environment of Le Poisson Rouge, its eclectic décor and cutting edge lighting system will give the public a transcendental experience in Village Gate.
