(Sept. 2) – Start a process of cooperation and exchange of information between the Italian Red Cross and the Iranian Red Crescent: this is the nature of the agreement signed in recent days in Rome at the headquarters of the Red Cross between the two humanitarian associations. “This is a very important moment, which emphasizes the friendship between the two bodies,” said Francesco Rocca, President of the Italian Red Cross. “Just like Iran, we have a very difficult territory from the environmental point of view, as for the earthquakes. The experience the Iranian Red Crescent developed in this field is therefore very valuable to us.” Thanks to this agreement, the two organizations could meet and participate in a number of training courses that, starting from October, will take place in Rome and Tehran, and where their members will be teachers and students at the same time. “With this agreement,” said Mohammad Sh. Mohammadi Araghi, Secretary General of the Iranian Red Crescent, “the relationship between our organizations will go a step further and we will have the opportunity to exploit our mutual expertise in health care, emergency and in all other areas.” (Peg)
