Sept. 18 – It’s been a little over three years since her victory in the TV show “Amici,” when she defeated her ‘classmates’ in the ninth edition of the popular talent show hosted by Maria De Filippi. Since then, Emma Marrone hasn’t stopped, stacking achievements, awards, gold, platinum and multiplatinum records. Putting aside the comfort of her TV ‘school’, Emma has grown and reached important stages, performing at the Festival of Sanremo (where in 2011 with Modà she came in second with the song “Arriverà,” and the following year she won with “Non è l’inferno”), and at the Arena di Verona for the “Notte della Taranta.” Surely today, Emma, symbol of hard work, femininity, and talent, is one of the most popular Italian artists and is now getting ready for an important event: MTV has revealed the nominations for the MTV Ema 2013, the largest annual event that celebrates globally famous artists. The only female artist among the nominees for the “Best Italian Act” category, Emma stands out among Fedez, Marco Mengoni, Max Pezzali, and Salmo, striving for the prize that will be awarded on November 10 in Amsterdam. This is a new prestigious international recognition time for the Salento singer, after being awarded a platinum record with her latest album, “Schiena,” released last April for Universal Music, which five months after its release is still in the top ten selling albums. Emma will be, next November 16, at the 105 Stadium in Rimini, to kick off her “Schiena tour 2013,” which will take her across the whole peninsula, in the months of November and December.
