Oct. 4 – Reggio companies have decided to expand their businesses in South America: six companies will be, from tomorrow until Oct. 11, engaged in a business mission organized by the Chamber of Commerce in Chile and Peru. The companies are: the Scandiano Bmp (equipment for hairdressers), Cattini Oleopneumatica from San Polo d’Enza (jacks for lifting), Dino Paoli of Reggio Emilia (Automotive and screwdrivers), Gamma Meccanica from Bibbiano (plant and equipment for the production of insulating materials and plastics recycling), Tigieffe of Luzzara (aerial platforms) and Ramex of Albinea (cleaning). Chile and Peru are strategic markets for some sectors in which Reggio Emilia companies operate: the GDP growth rate for the next 18 months should be around the 5.1% in Chile and 6% in Peru, associated with expected surge in exports and supported by strong domestic demand for foreign products. The Italian entrepreneurs will arrive Sunday in Santiago de Chile, there, on Monday and Tuesday they will meet different companies in Chile, before moving to Lima on October 9-11. “The initiative – says the President of the Chamber, Enrico Bini – aims not only to strengthen the flow of exports, but especially to broaden the horizon of our flows to countries that have strong growth and good potential for absorption.”
