Oct. 9 – Thanks to Anuga, food is the real star of Cologne. The international exhibition dedicated to food has also proven to be a great platform to kick off new initiatives. Among these, there is the agreement between Koelnmesse, Fiere di Parma, and Ucima, the Italian Union for Manufacturers for Packaging and Wrapping. The strategic partnership will redefine the geography of food technologies events, by creating a strategic platform that will see “Anuga FoodTec,” an important food tecnologies exhibition, “Cibus Tec,” a food technologies salon, and “Food Pack,” the newly-formed joint venture exhibition created by Fiere di Parma and Ucima work in synergy. The agreement will provide the industry with an extraordinary audience, generating a virtuous cycle that will speed up the internationalization of Italian food technology companies. The strategic agreement will support companies participating in the Anuga FoodTec and Cibus – Food Pack Fairs providing real incentives to partake in new initiatives aimed at overseas markets, such as Brazil and India. Essentially, the agreement will create a real “supply chain collaboration” between Italy and Germany, which from October will already provide a number of business matching initiatives for an effective promotion of food technology companies in international showcases, such as Anuga 2013, Cibus 2014 (May 5-8), Cibus & Food Pack (October 28-31 2014), and Anuga FoodTec (March 24-27, 2015).
