Oct. 9 – The Brazilian multinational JBS, the largest group in the world for the processing of animal proteins, is active in the marketing of collagen, hygiene products and cleaning, metal packaging and biodiesel. The group recently announced that it will buy Italian technology thanks to a line of credit of €42 million from Deutsche Bank and Sace, the group that supports competitiveness in Italy and abroad with 70 billion transactions insured in more than 189 countries. Among other things, Sace is present in Brazil with an office in Sao Paulo, which functions as a hub for Latin American markets. The line of credit, entirely provided by Deutsche Bank through its Structured Trade and Export Finance unit in Milan, and 100%guaranteed by Sace, will support JBS contracts awarded to Italian SMEs in the Centre-North districts specialized in machinery manufacture and services for leather manufacture: a field of excellence in which Italy has a long tradition of manufacturing and production technology of high quality. “The innovative structure of long-term financing, usually applied to large supply contracts – said the Sace group – allows to involve several small and medium-sized exporters in a single project. This is an example of positive collaboration between credit insurers and banks to support Italian exports, and the creation of industrial synergies between Italian SMEs and large international groups.”
