Jan. 13 – The Veneto agribusiness sector looks at China as an export market through a program set to take shape in the coming years, which will kick off next Tuesday, January 21, at the headquarters of Confindustria Vicenza. The aim will be to set up a direct comparison between agro-industrial companies and institutions and their Chinese counterparts, so as to introduce each company in the most transparent and efficient way to the local consumers. “On this first occasion – said the agriculture commissioner, Franco Manzano – we intend to assess the level of interest for China on the part of our agro-industry. With these we will kick off preparatory educational initiatives to enhance economic and commercial development, in collaboration with the Italian- China Foundation, Ca ‘Foscari University, and Veneto Promozione. The action plan will look primarily at the Chinese provinces with which Veneto already has in place memoranda of understanding, to progressively widen the range to the entire regional production system. To do as much, we must first become familiar with the Chinese legal and contractual aspects, types of communication, logistics and distribution, taxation and so on.”
