Feb. 14 – ITB Berlin, Mitt Moscow, Top Resa Paris, Tokyo Jata , Abay Sao Paulo, and WTM London are the major 2014 international tourism exhibitions in which Italy will promote its tourism in light of the Expo Milano 2015. The Borsa internazionale del turismo (BIT), which runs until tomorrow at Fiera Milano, is hosting two Buyer’s Lounge areas, of 265 square meters, to welcome the many foreign tour operators selected by BIT and accompanied by ENIT’s foreign branches. They will engage in B2B meetings and learn about the new Italian offer and packages. The promotional campaigns will continue until the end of 2014, with Expo representatives participating in joint initiatives and promotional activities in at least 16 of the 30 exhibitions that ENIT is attending. The agreement between ENIT and Expo also provides for: the joint branding of the ENIT stand, window displays with Expo logos, the constant collaboration with the Agency’s 23 locations operating worldwide for meetings and workshops. The synergy for promotional action involves the construction of a major event in India, in Mumbai, on March 28, with Costa Crociere on board the Costa Deliziosa – an event that probably will be replicated in New Delhi. In Asia, events are scheduled in Seoul in June, in China in July with a roadshow, and in Tokyo in September for Jata. In Oceania, a number of meetings for operators, press and the Italian community are scheduled in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne and Perth) in March. Among the initiatives, there is also include the creation of an ENIT map/guide to Expo2015, in all languages , which will be distributed to professionals and the public during the course of events and trade fairs or in ENIT offices. In October, ENIT will be in the US, in New York and Chicago, for operational B2B meetings.
