Mar. 13 – “A young boy once dreamed he could dream big. And he did,” once said Enzo Biagi of Drake, founder of Ferrari. Slowly, Enzo Ferrari’s dream became so large, it is now in Geneva, presenting the new California T and the FF, the first Ferrari equipped with CarPlay Apple at the Car Show. The Italian company seized the opportunity to announce, in front of an enthusiastic public, Ferrari Land, a new theme park centered around Ferrari within the PortAventura park, near Barcelona. Ferrari Land will cover 75.000 sqaure meters with exciting rides, including the tallest and fastest accelerator in Europe. The company also announced the construction of its first hotel in PortAventura, a five-star center with prestigious restaurants and driving simulators. “Total investments – says Ferrari – amount to €100 million, and the park will open in 2016.” PortAventura welcomes yearly 4.000.000 people, with 50% of them coming in from abroad. Undoubtedly, Ferrari’s park will attract others passionate about the F1 brand. And maybe the quintessentially Spanish Fernando Alonso, current World Champion, could inaugurate the accelerator ride!
