Mar. 25 – Italian ceramics and Austrian architects will come together today and Thursday, March 27, for “Italian Winter,” two dedicated meetings organized by “Ceramics of Italy” at the Dom im Berg in Graz today at 6:30pm and on Thursday in Vienna at the Gschwandner at 6:30pm. The meetings are organized with a view of Cersaie 2014, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tiles and Bathroom Furnishings that will be held September 22-26 in Bologna. The meetings in Austria seek to inform about new Italian ceramic tiles, promote a preferential channel between architects and associated companies, create a network between companies and architects present, and open up a debate with designers on materials and their applications. “Italian ceramics abroad – reads a note from Confindustria Ceramica – are increasingly present and qualified in these participation schemes that have been ideal for both architects and producers.” Indeed, the system has given great results over the years. This year’s testimonial for Ceramics of Italy is architect Sebastiano Brandolini – Professor at the Polytechnic Institute in Zurich and owner of the design firm Brandolini – Gallizia in Milan.
