Mar. 31 – With a €1.5 billion turnover and a production of about 9 million hams, Prosciutto di Parma, closed 2013 confirming its 2012 results. Italy remains the first market for Parma Ham with 72% of the absorbed production, but 2013 was the year of exports, with 2.5 million hams exported, for a 2% increase and a turnover of €237 million. 2013 is the fourth consecutive year of positive exports for Prosciutto di Parma, confirming its sustained growth process. Over the last decade, Parma ham exports have grown to over 900.000 pieces.
