Apr. 9 – “Umbria impressed us and we want to take her back to Shanghai with us: its design and furniture products and its natural beauty, its art, its food…” says Ho Wen Dong, president of Casajolie, the Chinese organization for contract projects with important European brands. Yesterday in Milan, the he spoke of the philosophy behind “Casa Umbria” in front of important sector operators from China and Taiwan, as well as representatives from the Umbria Region and its International Center. The project will take place in Shanghai, and will provide a major contribution to the cultural trend of international “fusion” between East and West. The aim is to support, over the course of three years, Umbria’s interior design sector in the Asian country. The project was first established last year, but its creation dates back to 2004, when the Casajolie president was pleasantly surprised by Umbria’s entrepreneurial spirit in the sector. A spirit he now wants to bring to China. “Today – said Ho Wen Dong – I am happy to announce that our ideas have become reality.”
