Cahors – The European partnership project “Cahors – Bologne: du lien médiéval à la citoyenneté européenne” involves the municipalities of Bologna and Cahors (France) and is implemented under the European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), in the Comenius Regio sub-project. The two-year project will be completed by July 2015 and aims to: rediscover the historical ties between the two cities; promote knowledge of their cultural heritage through the design of innovative educational models and shared European identity. The partnership will allow for exchange trips between the municipalities’ officials, operators and school teachers. In Bologna, the Istituto Comprensivo 16 and Liceo Artistico with the Youkali and Younet associations are preparing to take part in the project. A Bologna delegation visited Cahors in November 2013, and a French delegation will be in the Italian city in October 2014, at the same time as the Festa della Storia. (9Colonne)
