Apr. 15 – The world of agricultural mechanization will meet in Ribeirao Preto (Brazil) between April 28 and May 2. The Brazilian city will host the 21st edition of Agrishow, which Italian businesses will be able to attend thanks to the collective organized by ICE – the Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies, in collaboration with FederUnacoma (National Federation for agricultural equipment manufacturers). “For the 2014 edition – says the ICE Agency – 15 Italian companies have signed up, mainly machinery and equipment manufacturers for agriculture. These businesses will share an an exhibition space of 376 square meters, while FederUnacoma will have its own stand.” Agrishow is an important event for the industry, as evidenced by the numbers registered at the 20th edition: the fair was visited by about 152,000 professionals and attended by 790 exhibitors, including 45 foreign companies, on an area of 440,000 square meters. As per tradition, in 2013 a wide area (100 hectares) was dedicated to on field demonstration tests for agricultural machinery and equipment. Agrishow is a strategic fair for Brazil’s agribusiness sector, which has seen crop productivity increase, particularly for corn and soybeans, and has introduced loans for the purchase of agricultural machinery, produced at 60% in Brazil. This leaves important spaces for foreign accessories and components industry suppliers, in which the Italian offer is traditionally present and competitive. In fact, Italy is among the top 10 suppliers to Brazil for tractors and agricultural machinery and equipment.
