Apr. 23 – On 4 June 2004, Nino Manfredi died and with him a piece of Italian cinema. Now, ten years after his death, the actor born in Castro dei Volsci (Frosinone) continues to live on in our collective memory. His unforgettable movies, among “Per grazia ricevuta” (1971) “Pane e cioccolata” (1974), “C’eravamo tanto amati” (1974), “Colpo di Luna (1995) e “Un difetto di famiglia” (2002), will be screened at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, which dedicates to the late actor the event “Nino!” An entire week (May 9-16) will relive Manfredi’s talent through unpublished shots, scores, projections of his most important films, documentaries, and testimonies of those who knew him. ” I called him the watchmaker – says Dino Risi – he was meticulous in his work, always delivering extraordinary results.”
