Seoul – Seoul is currently hosting the qualification phase of the World Cup in men’s foil. With four Italian athletes already in the mix (Andrea Cassara, Andrea Baldini, Valerio Aspromonte and Giorgio Avola) everyone’s attention is focused on the other Italians competing during the first day of competition. Tobia Biondo, who won all the assaults in his group, will compete later tonight, while Lorenzo Nista and Francesco Trani were defeated during the round of qualifications taking place after the group rounds. So, the Italians competing in the qualifying round are Edoardo Luperi, Alessio Foconi, Saverio Schiavone, Daniele Garozzo and Alessandro Paroli. (9colonne)
