May 5 – The festival, which will take place May 5-7, will host numerous events, conferences and workshops to enhance bilateral economic cooperation in priority sectors. The three-day event will see various panels discuss in depth these thematic areas, followed by B2B meetings between Italian and Albanian companies. The sectors are: energy, tourism, industrial manufacturing, and agriculture, all in reference to small to medium enterprises. “This is an important occasion – says the president of Confindustria Lecce, Piernicola de Castris, who will lead the business mission – to kick off trade agreements with a country that is geographically close and that will surely maintain its strong growth trends in the coming years. With the limited growth potential of the internal market, it is necessary to identify unexplored business opportunities through which to better express the extraordinary production potential and expertise made in Puglia and Salento. In addition, the event will be a good opportunity to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between Confindustria Lecce and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Albania, which seeks to enhance the Italian system in its institutional set up in support of the internationalization of Italian companies. The Protocol will promote economic cooperation, trade and business between members interested in developing internationalization processes for their products or services.”
