May 29 -The Naples-native author, composer and interpreter and his band (Vincenzo Lambiase on guitar, Stefano Simonetta on bass, Sonia Totaro on voice and dance, and Clare Carnival on tambourine) will perform in the Albanian capital as part of the International Popular Music Festival “All Eagles ‘ (June 6-7-8). The event with Eugenio Bennato and his musicians – in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute – is June 7 (9.30) at the National Historical Museum Garden. “Balla la nuova Italia, name of Bennato’s concert, – according to a note from the ICI – means that a new Italy dances. The author wants to bring out the contrast with the contemporary media and focus on music that represents who Italians are and where they come from.” Bennato will perform his hits, including “Brigante se more” and the more recent “Notte del sud ribelle”, written last year for Notte della Taranta.
