June 3 – The Campari Group brings home a new success: the company based in Sesto San Giovanni announced that it has successfully closed the acquisition of Forty Creek Distillery Ltd., a leader in the spirits market in Canada and owner of a premium and fast growing portfolio of Canadian whiskey. The Milan-based company, present in over 190 countries around the world, announced that the total value of the transaction (Enterprise Value) for 100% of Forty Creek Distillery Ltd., including price adjustments, is equal to 198.2 million Canadian dollars (€ 133.7 million at the exchange rate recorded at the closing of the transaction). In addition, the Campari Group announced that it completed the acquisition of Fratelli Averna SpA, a leading brand in the Italian market and one of the most renowned Italian bitters in the world.
