June 11 – While the Italian football team is in Brazil to try and win the World Cup, Italy brings home another success thanks to ENAV, the Italian Society for air traffic control, who signed a 3-year agreement with Sineaa, the Brazilian airports association. The Memorandum aims at developing the aviation industry in Brazil. “The agreement – explains a note from ENAV – provides that ENAV support Sineaa in the field of air navigation services for airport operations, so as to develop procedures and infrastructure to increase airport capacity, maintain high standards of safety, and meet growing traffic demand.” ENAV would also assist Sineaa in the definition of a business strategy and all activities related to the amelioration of both the economic and environmental performances. The director of ENAV, Massimo Garbini, points out: “We are extremely pleased that Brazil recognizes us as a strategic partner. This Memorandum is only the first step in order to build future business relationships with Brazil and other nations of South America. We are joining a fast growing country that in two years will also host the Olympics, and it’s a great opportunity for ENAV. We continue exporting the Italian know-how with pride.”
