Sarajevo – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and current President of the EU, Federica Mogherini, is in Sarajevo. The Bosnia trip – says a note from the Italian embassy in Sarajevo – will be the first in the Minister’s Balkan tour. After Sarajevo, Mogherini will travel to Kosovo, FYROM, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro. During the visit, the Minister, assisted by Ambassador Ruggero Corrias, will meet with the tripartite presidency of Bosnia – Herzegovina, and Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija. Talks will focus on the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration prospects and Italy’s objectives during the Presidency of the EU. They will also discuss the main issues related to bilateral relations, including the Italian bid as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2017-18 biennium. At the conclusion of the visit, the Minister will visit the Ars Aevi contemporary art collection, recently reopened to the public thanks to Italy’s contribution, and for which Renzo Piano donated one of his museum project.
