(Jul. 25) – The Giffoni Macedonia Youth Film Festival in Skopje will be one of the leading events of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event is scheduled for October 8-12, and it is the Giffoni hub in the Balkans. The announcement came on the same day of the confirmation that Giffoni Voyager will also take place in Sao Paulo from January 28 to February 1. Claudio Gubitosi, artistic director of the GFF, the director of the Macedonian Film Fund, Darko Basheski, and the directors Giffoni in Macedonia, Elena Velickovska and Ivo Antov, were present for the statement. Velickovska, while recalling the ten past editions of the Giffoni Film Festival, anticipated that this year the number of foreign participants will double: last year, the young jury was composed of children from five countries, this year it will be more than ten.
