July 28 – Italcertifer has certified the new high-speed Ankara-Istanbul railway, opened in Turkey in recent days in the presence of the CEO, Carlo Carganico. The line is 500 kilometers long and will reduce travel time between the two cities from 6 to 3 hours and 15 minutes. It was designed and built so that it could be integrated with the European railway network. In 2010, Italcertifer won the tender by client company Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Develet Demiryollari (Tcdd), and inspected and analyzed all the line’s infrastructure, superstructure, energy, control-command and signaling systems. Italcertifer checked whether the system complied with Europe’s technical parameters and specifications.
