Sept. 4 – Italian fashion continues to dazzle abroad, as demonstrated by the great success of the fashion initiative organized in Kuala Lumpur by the Italian Embassy and the ICE Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian firms. Together, the two organized an exhibition on “60 years of made in Italy” at Pavilion Kl, the most important luxury shopping mall of the Malaysian capital. The Italian Ambassador, Mario Sammartino, fashion icons Anna Fendi and Raffaella Curiel, the Kuala Lumpur ICE Office director, Andrea Ambra, and the curators of the exhibition Fiorella Galgano and Alessia Tota attended opening night. “The purpose of these events – said Italian Ambassador Mario Sammartino – is to maintain high the Italian image abroad, as well as to keep good international relations with those countries that are particularly attentive to our values and our culture.” The ICE director also stressed the crucial economic relevance of the event: “When it comes to fashion, rather than promote we should value. Italian fashion is still present and very popular here in Malaysia. Through events like these we can create the conditions to promote initiatives and trades of all kinds.”
