(Sept. 30) Malta is the theater of the training workshop on media coverage of cultural events organized by the COPEAM (Permanent conference of the Euro-Mediterranean Audio-Visual) and the Maltese public TV and radio PBS. The 4-day training, which started yesterday and will continue until October 3, is open to 10 young English-speaking journalists from the broadcaster members of COPEAM (Albania, France, Georgia, Italy, Malta, Palestine, Romania, Turkey). The trainees are accompanied in telling and reporting about subjects related to the territorial and cultural context where they will be hosted (places, events, news, etc.), with a view to strengthening their ability to report on these matters with an appropriate technical language, highlighting the most attractive aspects from the audience’s point of view. Tonio Portughese, President of the PBS, and Pier Luigi Malesani, Secretary General of the COPEAM, participated in the opening ceremony of the workshop. (Red)
