Oct. 15 – One of the attractions at this year’s edition of the Agribusiness International Salon SIAL, scheduled October 19-24 Paris, at the Parc d’Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte, is SIAFT. The Southern Italy Agri Food Tourism project offers small businesses in the agribusiness and tourism sectors a chance to get in touch with the international markets so as to develop and consolidate their internationalization processes. The project sees the participation of 16 Chambers of Commerce, including the Chamber of Commerce of Matera, which will bring to France two companies: “San Canio e frantoio oleario” from Montescaglioso (Matera), olive oil producer, and “Fratelli Laurieri” (Matera), specialized in bakery products. Their extra virgin olive oil and biscuits will frontline the other regional typical products from 26 other companies. The 2014 edition of SIAL gathers 6000 exhibitors representing 200 countries, and more than 150,000 visitors are expected. Supported by Unioncamere through the 2013 Equalization Fund, the SIAFT project will work in close synergy with the Chamber of Commerce of Matera as well as with those of Chieti, Cosenza, Crotone, Frosinone, L’Aquila, Latina, Lecce, Napoli, Pescara, Rieti, Siracusa, Taranto, Teramo, Unioncamere Molise, and Viterbo.
