Oct. 20 – The best Italian fundraiser of 2014 is Stefano Malfatti, and he is responsible for the fundraising campaign of the Don Gnocchi Foundation. He recently won the prestigious Global Award for Fundraising. The news was reported on the nonprofit website Vita.it. Malfatti convinced more than the other nominated fundraisers: the Irish Johann Fox of the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation; and Brazilian Luis Donadio, of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation – Fiocruz. “I am truly honored for the opportunity to take part in the event as a participant and a nominee for the Global Fundraiser Award 2014 – Malfatti wrote in his blog a few days before the award – Thanks to the support of my colleagues, today I am being rewarded for my contributions in fundraising skill development and global capacity and sustainability, all of which increase the impact with which organizations seek to change and improve lives around the world”.
