Monte-Carlo – From Friuli to the Principality of Monaco, it’s a short journey for Italy’s excellence. As part of the “Month of Italian Culture and Language,” created by the Italian Ambassador to Monaco Antonio Morabito, Friuli Venezia Giulia will feature thanks to the Specogna Corno di Rosazzo (Ud) agency. Specogna provided its best labels from the Rocca Bernarda vineyards, as well as San Daniele ham and dishes prepared by Friuli chef Ivan Tondat. Prince Albert II of Monaco also toasted with a limited edition hand painted bottle, decorated by Friuli artist Silvano Spessot. The initiative took place within YachtingArt “YA! 2014,” a group exhibition of contemporary Italian artists. The event is produced by Bernard d’Alessandri, and curated by Paola Magni; it features music by Giuseppe Verdi, Nicola Piovani, and Eduardo di Capua, performed by musicians from Parma and Bologna, directed by Maria Cleophas Miotti.
