(Jan. 1) Starting from January 15, in the film libraries of Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, the third edition of “Another Look – Project of European restored cinema” will start, as the result of a unique joint initiative that aims to raise public awareness towards the European film heritage. Thanks to the cooperation of the European Union Delegation in Israel and representatives of the 13 participating countries, 13 films will be screened in their restored versions, now in high quality. The works presented have been selected on the basis of artistic value and significance they play in documenting the historical evolution and the many aspects of European film industry. The Italian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv and Haifa will present “The Machine That Kills”, a masterpiece by Roberto Rossellini, restored in 2013 by the Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna, CSC-Cineteca Nazionale, Coproduction Office and Istituto Luce Cinecittà, at the laboratory L’Immagine Ritrovata.
