Sydney – The impact of the global crisis on Australia’s economy was so minimal that the Australian market is an ideal outlet for Emilia Romagna products: from food technology to mechanics, passing by infrastructure, alternative energy and fashion. Australia is the new frontier market, offering significant business opportunities to the trade mission organized by Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, Promec Modena (the Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Modena), and the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara in collaboration with Italian Chamber of Commerce in Sydney. The mission brought four companies to Australia: the Ferrara-based Mangolini Confezioni (clothing) and Impar Impianti (construction); and Modena-based Dec (forklift manufacturing) and Leonardi Benne. The four businesses met with local counterparts, operators and associations interested in establishing partnerships for the future. A total of 24 business meetings were held in Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, and in Melbourne. (9Colonne)
