Perugia – Umbria’s economy is giving positive signals on the export front, as orders increase for 2015, reveals the economic analysis carried out by the Observatory of Unioncamere Umbria on the nature and dynamics of imports and exports from 2008 to 2014. Exports in the field of Agriculture, in terms of Umbria’s share of the national total, almost doubled in the last three years (from 1.3% to 2.4%), meaning that Umbria now contributes almost 20% of the total for central Italy, competing with the strong agricultural regions of Tuscany, Lazio and Marche. Soaring exports also concern ICT services, for which the share has tripled compared to the Italian average, seeing Umbria move from 1.6% in 2007 to 11.4% in 2013 in the Central Italy share. (9Colonne)
