Cologne – The Italian Cultural Institute in Cologne will host until 25 January an exhibition curated by industrial designer Andrea Dichiara. The exhibition, which will be inaugurated on January 19 at 7pm, displays objects from the famous Guzzini Foodesign collection, the first manufacturer in the world of plastic products for food preservation. While some items are kept in their original function, others have been assembled to compose furnishings. The exhibition emphasizes the link between art and design not only in its concept and creative phase but also when, recycled at the end of their original use, industrial products take on a new life and value as works of art.
