Jan. 19 – Promotional events, presentations, tastings, and much more to present the best wineries of Friuli Venezia Giulia in the United States. Friuli wine is ready to “reconquer” the American market thanks to the initiative of twenty regional companies participating in ‘”Italian Wine Week,” and six companies that will be showcasing in New York the “Slow Wine Tour,” scheduled in February. The majority of the companies will participate thanks to the support of Ati Friuli Friuli Future Wines, a Temporary Association of Companies led by the Chamber of Commerce of Udine. Less than 43 wine companies are members, for a total budget of a little over €1 million. Friuli Future Wines – formed successfully for the fifth consecutive year as part of the OCM Vino project for joint promotion on extra-EU markets – is focusing this year on the US, Canada, Russia and Japan. “The regional significance of our network is important, a combined system gives even more power to promotion abroad,” said the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Udine, Giovanni Da Pozzo.
