Jan. 22 – The ITA, the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, will be in New York on February 2-5 for the fourth edition of ”Italian Wine Week,” with the aim to promote Italian wine on international markets. And wines from the “heel of Italy” won’t miss the occasion to meet and greet potential new consumers, confirms in a statement the Puglia Region’s Pugliesi nel Mondo Office, the internationalization service of the Region. The Region, in collaboration with the ITA, is organizing a focus dedicated to Puglia wine scheduled for February 3 at the prestigious headquarters of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. The event will consist of a thematic workshop and an evening of networking with the participation of 250 international wine importers and the regional delegation, composed of over 30 wineries from Puglia, and the Regional Economic Development Councilor Loredana Capone. As part of this networking meeting, the Puglia Region and the ITA have involved the Pugliese community residing in New York via the “United Pugliesi Federation of the Metropolitan Area”, enrolled in the Regional Federation of Puglia in the World. The goal will be to identify and involve a representation of 50 participants among many operators: importers, distributors and restaurateurs from Puglia present in New York and interested in wines from Puglia. “This confirms once again – continued the statement – the strategic role that the Puglia community abroad carries out for the region in its internationalization of the regional production system.”
