Paris – The French capital recently hosted the first AGM of the new cross-border section promoter for the Turin-Lyon. Michele Mario, the Ferrovie dello Stato CEO, Michele Mario Elia, was there with François Poupard, France’s general manager of Infrastructure, transport and sea. The meeting gave life to TELT, the Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin, the company responsible for the construction and operation of the future infrastructure. The new promoter follows LTF Lyon Turin Ferroviaire, that from October 2001 to February 2015 carried out the preliminary studies and work. The new corporate structure is configured with a participation quota of 50% divided between Ferrovie dello Stato and the French State. The Assembly, following the recommendation of the two states, appointed Hubert du Mesnil as President, and Mario Virano as general manager. Both will become full members of the new board of directors, who took office yesterday, along with eight directors. (9Colonne)
