Beijing – President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Debora Serracchiani and the director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing Stefania Stafutti recently began to lay the foundations for a solid cooperation between the Region and China. At the meeting, the two discussed the potential to develop cultural and economic initiatives. In particular, it emerged that the renowned School of Spilimbergo has great potential for both artistic and economic activities in the Chinese market, where there is a growing interest for mosaic, design, furniture and urban-type housing. “The mosaic school, which has always distinguished itself for its international vocation – confirmed Serracchiani – can be a driving force to boost our cultural and economic relations.” (9Colonne)
