Sao Paulo – The Latin America PV Playbook published by GMT Research, which selects the Top 10 companies that have made the greatest contribution to the development of solar PV in 2014, has named Enel Green Power as being number one for pipelines and number two for installed capacity. The growth of solar power in Latin America saw installed capacity rise to 625 megawatts in 2014, a 133MW increase on the previous year, and GTM Research estimates that an additional two gigawatts will be added in 2015, most of which will be installed in Chile. The high level of solar exposure, together with the rising energy demand, marks the Latin American renewable market as being one of the world’s most dynamic.
