Nuremberg – “It is positive that even a year after the closure of the Consulate of Nuremberg the local Italian community can count again on the presence of an institutional point of reference, able to provide essential services. It is that the government and the administration care about the Italian community in Franconia.” Said Laura Garavini, elected member of parliament in the European constituency, speaking at the inauguration of the new Honorary Italian Consulate in Nuremberg. The event, sponsored by the Consul General of Munich, Filippo Scammacca del Murgo, saw the participation of the Italian Ambassador to Berlin, Pietro Benassi, Congressman Mario Caruso and numerous local authorities, including the new Honorary Consul, Günther Kreuzer.
