Tokyo – Minister Maurizio Martina is currently in Japan for an institutional visit to meet with Japanese Agriculture Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi. Martina’s goal is to highlight the excellent features and potential for economic exchange of Italy’s food and agricultural sector. This also means supporting Italy’s participation in the international food and beverages exhibition “Foodex Japan 2015”, the largest show dedicated to the industry in Japan, where Italy’s presence is the largest in terms of foreign participants – with over 150 companies. But it also means promoting Expo 2015, with a symposium on nutrition and sustainable development at the University of Tokyo. (9Colonne)
