Athens – Today, at 7pm, the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens welcomes the theater group “Parole di Donne,” there to present the show “Voci da Dentro”, performed in Italian with songs in greek. Eleven jailed women tell their stories and talk about their life before jail and life on the other side. For people on the “outside,” a prison is something imagined only in movies and TV shows: closed doors, long corridors, cold and impersonal, constraints, prohibitions, restrictions, and your time determined by others. But the show brings the thoughts, emotions, feelings, episodes of daily life of the inmates to convey the image that these women want to give of themselves. (9Colonne)
