Kiev – The Italian Cultural Institute in Kiev, in co-production with the National Opera of Ukraine, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, has organized a staging of Puccini’s “Turandot”. The opera, under the direction of maestro Mario Corradi, takes the stage on Wednesday, March 25, at 7pm, at the National Opera of Ukraine. The “Turandot” is one of Puccini’s last works, who passed away because of a tumor in November 1924, and is one of the many left unfinished during the period following the collaboration between Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa. The Turandot is considered one of Puccini’s masterpieces and has featured in the National Opera of Ukraine program since 2003. (9Colonne)
