Pelizzo has a rich curriculum: after graduating in Medicine in Ferrara, she completed her medical training between Italy and France. She worked in Marseille and Lyon (where until 1998 was assistant surgeon at the Hospital Herriot Lyon), then at the Pediatric Institute “Burlo Garofalo” in Trieste, until she transfered to the Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia, a point of reference for pediatric surgery.
