Melbourne – Fifty tour operators and journalists attended the dinner hosted by the Consul General of Italy in Melbourne, Marco Maria Cerbo, last week to present the project “Expo and Territories”, whereby tourists visiting Italy have the opportunity to create their own routes within the Milan universal exhibition and Italian regions. The evening, organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, began with a speech by the Consul, who recalled the richness of Italian heritage and stressed that the Milan Expo is a unique global event. Each year, almost one million Australian tourists travel to Italy, and a quarter of the travel packages sold in Australia include Italy. After the Consul’s speech, a representative of ENIT presented the tourist offer of Abruzzo, Calabria, Sicily and Veneto. (9Colonne)
