Shanghai – Until 8 May, 28 Puglia companies are in Shanghai to attend Sial China, following an initiative of Unioncamere Puglia in agreement with the Region of Puglia – Policies for Rural Development Area – as part of the 2015 promotional program for the food industry. The international trade fair is held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. SIAL China is the biggest event in the food and beverage throughout Asia and is the first for spirits and wine. The 2014 edition reached the highest record of participations in 15 years, with 74,000 square meters of exhibition space (+ 14% compared to 2013), 49,265 visitors (+ 19% compared to 2013), and more than 2,385 exhibiting companies from 80 countries. Of the 28 companies taking part in the event, six have individual stands while the remaining 22 share a group exhibition. The latter are those who last year joined the “Export Shanghai” project, and from the end of the fair will be permanently present in Shanghai with a showroom in a prestigious location at the center of the metropolis.
