Asuncion – In Paraguay, Italy continues to celebrate the Year of Italy in Latin America. In June, every Monday, a different Italian film will be screened at the cinema hall of a large shopping center: the films selected are “Buongiorno Papà”, “Il rosso e il blu” and “Il giovane favoloso” In July, there will be a seminar in collaboration with the Dante Alighieri Society and the Fundación Cinemateca and Archivio Visual of Paraguay, aimed at teachers and students, during which the great classics of Italian cinema will be presented, along with documentaries. This moment offers a rare opportunity to look into the Italian language and the history of Italian cinema as both elements of change and conseguences of the same changes in contemporary Italian culture.” (9Colonne)
