Leuk – Francesco Maggio will represent Italy at the Forum Wallis, in the Swiss Alps. The young composer from Salento builds on last year’s success in Theaterhaus (Stuttgart), and returns in Switzerland for the International Festival of Contemporary Music Forum Wallis. Here, Maggio presents his new work for ensemble, “Graffiti Romani”. The world premiere is entrusted to the Spaziomusica Ensemble directed by Riccardo Leone, with Enrico Di Felice on flute. The premiere is scheduled for May 23 at the Castle of Leuk. The work is a remake of “Prossima fermata: Gobustan”, a composition of 2013 written for the German group Musikfabrik Cologne. (9Colonne)
