Kampala – Euregio’s commitment on development cooperation began in East Africa, at the border region between Uganda and Tanzania, which involves, in addition to the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano and the Land Tirol, other local actors, such as civil society groups of the territories involved. The commissioner for Development Cooperation of the Province of Trento met a delegation from Uganda, led by Peter Ssenkaayi of the non-governmental organization Maddo, headed by Caritas. The NGO is coordinating the project realized in Uganda. With Ssenkaayi, there were also Matthias Danninger, coordinator of the project for Tyrol, Alexandra Poeder, contact person for the Province of Bolzano, and Paola Delrio on behalf of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
