Hamburg – Isabella Fumarola, 27, is an Italian student member of the all-female team “Bolleboos” from City University of London, a finalist of the Airbus international competition Fly Your Ideas. Born and raised in Rome, Isabella obtained her degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University La Sapienza in Rome in 2013 and then moved to London, where she is completing her PhD in Aerodynamics. The “Bolleboos” team presents the new WEGO system, which captures energy generated by aircrafts during taxiing operations. The Italian student is now traveling to Hamburg, where tomorrow she will present the project with the rest of her team. (9colonne)
